What are Allocation Rules?

Allocation rules are one of three compensation plans assigned to an employee. They are used when an additional calculation needs to occur after a Schedule and/or Override calculation has occurred. CompenSafe will always calculate 100% of your commission. 

Allocation rule of "Team - 100% Deduction - LO"

This allocation rule is assigned to a Loan Officer in CompenSafe who has "0", NA, none or does not have a team % in the Team Loan box field of the LO Addendum A. 


























Note: CompenSafe will always calculate 100% on a Loan Officer's commission. If a loan is set up as a team loan in Encompass and the Loan Officer does not have a Team Loan % on the LO Addendum A, the "Team - 100% Deduction - LO" allocation rule will trigger the deduction of 100% of their commission. That Loan Officer will be paid $0 on the team loan. 

Allocation Rule of "Team Loan % Deduction - LO" other than 100%

If a Loan Officer has a Team Loan % assigned on the LO Addendum A, an allocation rule of deducting a portion not covered by the team % is assigned in CompenSafe. i.e. A Loan Officer has a 30% Team Loan % on the LO Addendum A, "Team - 70% Deduction - LO" allocation rule will be setup in CompenSafe. 



























Note: CompenSafe will always calculate 100% of an LO’s commission.  If a loan is set up as a team loan in Encompass and the Loan Officer has 30% Team Loan % on the LO Addendum A, the "Team - 70% Deduction - LO" allocation rule will trigger the deduction of 70% of the commission. The Loan Officer is then only paid a 30% commission on the team loan.
