General Ledger

General Ledger

View the General Ledger to see all transactions posted to each GL account of your P&L in detail.

Tips:
  1. Transactions will appear one day after the transaction has been posted in the Accounting system.
  2. Command Center Financials data refreshes nightly around 1am PDT. This means:
    1. If Accounting posts: an invoice, payment, reclass or any transaction today, you will see it reported in Command Center Financials the next day.
    2. Fundings will show in Command Center Financials in two business days after the funding date.
  3. Use the menu bar options at the top of the General Ledger to perform actions:

View the Financials General Ledger

       1. Navigate to Financials from the left-hand menu.
      2. General Ledger is the third tab on the Financials page. Select your BranchPost Date Begin and Post Date End (best practice to enter a full month date range), then click on View Report.
  1. NoteIf a drop-down menu doesn't automatically disappear, click on the drop-down menu again to make it disappear.

      3. This will display the General Ledger by Branch.
  1. GL Number
  2. G/L Description
  3. Vendor
  4. Transaction Description
  5. Invoice Number
  6. Reference ID Number
  7. Date
  8. Amount
    1. Negative amounts (red) equal revenue.
    2. Positive amounts (black) equal expense.
    3. If the date range selected is for a complete month, the total amounts calculated on the last page will match the Net Income field for that month on the P&L. For example, if the date range selected is 9/1/2020 - 9/30/2020, the total amount calculated on the last page of the general ledger should match the Net Income field for the last month of September 2020 on the P&L.
